The expanding part is at the bottom of the window. So again, try changing stuff here and hopefully you can get it fixed or at least find a less annoying setting -) The problem is likely related to something here and your 4k display being barely supported by Microsoft. Maybe even in the dropdown menu (where it says Title bars and other stuff). The green marked option in the last screenshot is where you have to experiment, probably. That next attempt would be the red marked "Advanced display settings" link in the same place (Settings>system>display), which leads to this:Īnd advanced sizing of text and other items leads to here: in the next setting options, microsoft even warns about it ("not recommended") - because lets face it, they Win10 Settings are barely in an Alpha or Beta state at best and they surely haven't really cared much yet about 4k displays. Just try it and see how things change (I'm guessing that you need/want your icons and stuff to be rather large to be able to see it more clearly, but that might also change stuff like the taskbar bloating up apparently. Now first attempt is going to be the green marked slider in the picture below, which can be found in Settings>system>display: I can not reproduce this on my end (but I'm not on 4k either), but I have the feeling I know where/how you can fix this or adjust it at least to be close to what you want it to be.įirst, I'd always recommend to have the taskbar set to be locked (option when right-clicked) (of course once you got it how you want it to be).
